Eldorado Westcar Series to be themed “777” series

Westcar Late Model
 Series
has made an adjustment to its previously announced 2007 schedule.
After a mutual decision between Westcar and Shasta Raceway Park
promoter George Wade, the series will not contest the August 18th
event at the Anderson, CA speed plant.
The date
overlapped with Stockcar Racing League competition in Colorado, and
was the only such disputed date on either schedule. The series will
share a headlining bill at Altamont Motorsports Park on August 4th.
With increased
support from the Eldorado Hotel Casino, the seven race slate will be
promoted as both the “Tour of Champions” and the “777 series.” The
#7 is the number players of slots love to see, and for Late Model
fans in Northern California, Westcar should be the same in 2007.
Among the
benefits of the support of Eldorado, the series opener at Ukiah
Speedway will now be known as the “Eldorado 100” and pay $3000 to
win. The full purse breakdown, that tops $11,500 for the feature
alone, is published on the series website.
2007 series

to create a solid touring series for weekly-type Western Late
